Insulation

It's so fun to see the progression of this house! It's beginning to look like a real house!  And it's only taken 3 1/2 months to get this far :/
We got the insulation in last week and the drywall goes in today!  So those pictures will come later. Also you can see the new windows, they are lovely!

Framing

Framing is complete!  We thought Anthony would have plenty of time to do it and it'd get done super fast.  After getting most of the basement complete and then the house sitting idle for two weeks (we did go to OK for thanksgiving during that time and Anth went to ND for work for a week) we decided to hire it out.  Best. Decision. Ever! It was so nice not to have to stress over it and to just have it done. (At this point I really wish we could just hire everything out, paying top dollar, to just get the whole house done. But of course it's about the journey and what would we learn if we did that?!?! Oh and plus the whole $$ thing.)
Also in these pictures you can see the new stairs!! Aren't they beautiful!  I love them.
Benson is standing in the hall.  In the future there will be a half wall there.
Looking down the hall to the upstairs rooms and bath.
 Nursery or small bedroom upstairs.
 Upstairs hall bath.
 Hall into master bed/bath
 Master Bath

Dining room and kitchen (you can't see the old stairs anymore).  The door goes out to the pantry/mudroom.

Yes this is with the plumbing and HVAC started.  Standing at the bottom of the stairs looking through the wall into the bathroom.
Looking down the hall to the two bedrooms and a bath
 Playroom/laundry/utility rooms
Door to the under the stairs play area

Now that it's done we do HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc... (we are only doing the electrical :)
Here's to gutting and redoing a house :/
P.S. I LOVE walking into the house now.  I LOVE that I can tell where things (like walls) are going to be :)

6 Years!

6 years ago today I married the best man ever!  It was a crazy fast courtship/engagement but I loved every minute of it (except when we broke up for a week)!  I think it feels like we've been married for so much longer.  We've experienced so much together and I'm so grateful to have had him to go through it all with! Love you Anth!!
(Hope you love the shower head:)

More Demo...

Here's a lot more pictures! And I can now say that it's almost all done, like it really is all done but a little rubble from the rock fireplace downstairs.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped!  I was in tears with all who came to help this past Saturday.  Thank you!
