Have a Seat

On January 17, we drove all the way to Richfield (Annabella really, but who in the world knows where that is?) to get these beauties. The previous owners have had them for two years in their basement but never went downstairs b/c their 2 year old fell down the stairs and they put up a permanent gate.

We found them on KSL Classified, borrowed Sean and Barbara's truck, and made the 3 hour journey. We actually had a lot of fun and we're so excited to have them! Out biggest furiture purchase to date.

Tiling

My parents bought a new house a month before they left on a mission a year ago. Anthony and I are lucky enough to be living there while they're gone. Anthony has taken on a HUGE project. He's tiling the kitchen, 1/2 bath, dining room, and part of the great room, all 700 sq. feet of it. The prep work took 2 weeks. Wow, home improvement is though. I'm not sure I'm cut out for it. It's now over half way done!! Anthony's brothers and friend Nelson have been such a huge help. Thanks!!

These pictures are for my parents.
The front entrance was rock, Anthony pounded it out.
The floors were uneven, Anthony evened them out.
The kitchen had linoleum, Anthony pulled it out.
The floor had no tile, Anthony put it down!

Christmas Past

I'm just blogging about this for me, even though these things occurred over a month ago.

We got together with my family the week before Christmas to make gram cracker houses. Fun was had by all.
I felt like this was kind of our first Christmas because last year we'd only been married 10 days and were living with my parents and extended family (the Bruderer's, Elggren's, Daniel and Sara, and Sara Anne). Not that it wasn't fun; it was a blast. But this year was very different. The Vance's had a family party on the 23rd and we spent Christmas Eve just the two of us. It was nice, we started our own traditons and just enjoyed the Christmas spirit.

Santa definately found us! Aren't our PJ's darling?! We visited all the Vance's and met up with the Weston's for quiche and scones. De-lish!

The rest of the break consisted of tiling my parents house and hanging out/playing games with family. I love that both of us are on a school break schedule. I don't think it'll be like this again.

-blogger is being funny with my pictures, sorry about the misorder.
